If you’re going to try, go all the way.

Well, I’m starting a blog. I have no idea what I’m doing. Is anyone even going to read this? It will be so embarrassing if no one does. I have no intention on making this a really personal blog- at least not yet. But I still feel like I’m “putting myself out there.”
However, I’ve made a promise to myself- that I will do this for me. I will take on this random, eclectic project, and I will give it my best. I’m hoping that if I honor this promise, and have a little faith in myself, then it won’t matter so much if anyone reads this. (Still, it would be nice.)

The name of my blog is Ever More The Clever. I’ll have to explain some other time how I came up with that. The tagline sums it up nicely: A passion for words. The general purpose of my blog, like all other blogs, is to give myself an outlet. The more specific purpose of the blog is to give myself a convenient and creative way to compile interesting and inspiring lines, quotes, and lyrics.

So, here are some quotes and lyrics which reflect my thoughts on starting this project:

If you’re going to try, go all the way.

Otherwise don’t even start. This could mean losing… maybe even your mind. It could mean derision. It could mean mockery–isolation. Isolation is the gift. All the others are a test of your endurance, of how much you really want to do it. And, you’ll do it, despite rejection and the worst odds. And it will be better than anything else you can imagine. If you’re going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It’s the only good fight there is.”
 Charles Bukowski

A life spent making mistakes is more honorable and more useful than a life spent doing nothing.
George Bernard Shaw

Let the beauty of what you love be what you do. Rumi

I’ve got a right to be wrong, my mistakes will make me strong.
I’m stepping out into the great unknown,
I’m feeling wings though I’ve never flown.
I can’t turn back I’m on a mission
If you care don’t you dare blur my vision
Whatever’s out there waiting for me
I’m gonna face it willingly…
Joss Stone, Right To Be Wrong

Now…… bring me that horizon.” Captain Jack Sparrow
